SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Give2Asia, a U.S. public charity with a local network across Asia, has launched a Disaster Recovery Fund for emergency relief following the devastation left by Cyclone Nargis that struck Burma in early May. The initial devastation is now compounded by an acute shortage of food and clean water.

MARCH 17, 2008 - (San Francisco, Calif.) - Give2Asia, a U.S. public charity dedicated to helping philanthropists make a difference in Asia, today announced the departure of founding President & CEO Mike Rea. Mr. Rea is leaving to support the philanthropy of families and nonprofit organizations at a major financial institution. Mr. Rea will transition from his role at Give2Asia by March 31. Give2Asia’s Chief Financial Officer Ray Klinke will step in as interim CEO during the search for Mr. Rea’s successor.
