Kai-Fu Lee & Weili Dai Join Give2Asia's Board of Trustees
July 19, 2010 - (San Francisco, CA) - Give2Asia, a U.S.-based nonprofit, announces today that Ms. Weili Dai and Mr. Kai-Fu Lee are joining its Board of Trustees. The two prominent business executives will guide Give2Asia’s strategic growth and expand its platform of philanthropic services, which provide the tools and advice to support charitable projects in Asia.

Ms. Weili Dai is the only woman co-founder of a global semiconductor company and one of the leading and most-recognized women business leaders in the world today. As co-founder of Marvell Technology Group Ltd., Ms. Dai has been a cornerstone of the company’s success since it began in 1995. She also actively promotes expanding access to technology in the developing world, and is an advocate for stronger relations between the US and China, particularly in the arenas of education and green technology. In recognition of her family’s significant gift to the college, the University of California at Berkeley has named Sutardja Dai Hall in their honor. Mr. Kai-Fu Lee is the Chairman & CEO of Innovation Works, an early-stage fund and incubator for high-tech start-ups, which is based in Shanghai. Having held senior positions within Google, Microsoft and Apple, Mr. Lee is one of the most prominent figures in China’s internet sector. Mr. Lee’s philanthropic activities include the establishment of the Chinese Youth Development Fund in 2006 to address the difficulties faced by China’s youth in academic and career development.
