Prior to joining Give2Asia, Marianna or Hanna was an Operations Analyst for the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank group. For over 7 years, Hanna was part of a team who helped encourage private sector investments in climate friendly projects, such as energy efficiency and renewable energy where she handled communications, results measurement, and training design and delivery. She also spent a year as the knowledge management coordinator for IFC in the East Asia and the Pacific region.

Hanna was once part of a global education program, Up With People, where she spent 6 months traveling around the USA, Europe, and Asia with an international group of students - spreading the message of peace and diversity and doing volunteer work for local organizations. She is also a volunteer Climate Reality Leader of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, CRLs are committed to reach out to communities and inform them about the global climate crisis and its solutions.

She has previous experience in development communication, corporate social responsibility, and employee volunteer management with private corporate foundations. Hanna graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Banos with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology, Major in Social Technology. She also earned her Master of Development Communication degree from the University of the Philippines Open University. She is currently based in the Philippines with her husband and two kids.
