Kalsang Tashi, associate vP of programs
Kalsang has ten years of combined client stewardship experience in both the non-profit and corporate sectors. In her current role, Kalsang works closely with the President & CEO and the Program Development team to enhance grants administration and donor experience. Kalsang also supports high net worth families/individuals and corporate clients in meeting their philanthropic goals in Asia.
Her corporate background includes working at a boutique mutual fund company followed by UBS Financial Services where she was part of a private wealth management team serving a growing clientele of ultra high net worth individuals.
In recent years, Kalsang has served on the Board of an Oakland based private foundation and engaged in various community initiatives including a five year capital campaign project that helped establish a Tibetan culture center in the Bay area.
Kalsang grew up in a Tibetan refugee settlement in northern India. A generous sponsorship from a member of IBM's Watson family brought her to Brandeis University in 2000 where she received a Bachelor's degree in Economics coupled with a minor in Peace & Conflict Resolution Studies. Kalsang has traveled to China, Nepal and eastern end of the Tibetan plateau.
