Jason Raby, Program manager

jraby@give2asia.org

Jason joined Give2Asia in 2015, and as a Program Manager, he works with corporate donors to manage their grantmaking portfolio in the Asia Pacific region.

In addition to previously living and working in South Korea and Vietnam, Jason served for 2 years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mongolia.  Living in the remote Mongolian province of Hovd, Jason's work on Mercy Corps's Rural Agribusiness Support Program helped small businesses obtain loans at favorable interest rates to expand their operations.  His work also allowed English-speaking tourists to access a vetted network of translators, guides, and drivers while visiting the province, and led a research team that presented an English-language account of Hovd's history, local songs, and cultural groups.

Years of professional experience contributing to projects on the ground in Asia inspired him to acquire his Master's from UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy, and joined Give2Asia in order to apply this skillset to a broader range of community-driven projects.  Jason likes to think he can speak Mongolian and Korean.

A friend to all people and animals (except geese), Jason resides in San Francisco with his wife Melinda, and Mongolian dog Daisy.
