Development Manager of Disaster Programs

As the Development Manager of Disaster Programs, Sheena leads the disaster philanthropy and climate portfolio at Give2Asia including managing the NGO Disaster Preparedness Program – a 5-year program channeling private philanthropy to local NGOs in disaster prone countries in the Asia-Pacific region and strengthening their resilience to a changing climate.

Sheena comes to Give2Asia with an extensive background in international development programming. Prior to joining, she worked with USAID-funded projects in a variety of sectors including civil society strengthening, peace-building, and environmental management. Most recently she was in Thailand supporting a USAID- and NASA-partnered climate change program that worked with local actors to integrate space technology into environmental decision making and disaster preparedness for the Mekong region. Previous companies she has worked for include Spatial Informatics Group, the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center, and DAI. Sheena has a Master’s Degree in International Development from American University in Washington, D.C.
