THE INSTITUTE FOR DEVELOPMENT STUDIES AND PRACTICES (IDSP)
IDSP is a national human resource development institute based in Quetta, Pakistan since 1998. It offers intellectually-designed, practice-based character and community development courses for young people who are excluded from mainstream education and livelihood opportunities.
IDSP joined the Skoll Social Entrepreneurship Challenge to raise funds for its project to educate and train women in Balochistan to become midwives. This project will not only provide jobs but also save the lives of mothers and infants. IDSP aims to train and educate 1,000 women over the course of 5 years.
