We are featuring brand new projects in need of funding that give everyone an opportunity to support and help make positive change in the communities involved. Read more about these projects and how you can show your support.
This project will construct a new 4-classroom building at the Thlat Primary School in Siem Reap, Cambodia, for the benefit of the school's 300 students. This new building will replace a much older wooden classroom building (pictured above while still in use) that the school has recently opted to stop using as it has been deemed unsafe for the teachers and students.
Funds for this project will allow the Unnati Skill Center in Bangalore (Karnataka) India to provide 150 individuals with 320 hours of intensive vocational and job-skills training. The trainees are mostly unemployed 18-25 year-olds who are less educated or semi-literate, who come from remote villages or slums where they face significant financial and educational impediments. At the completion of the 50 day program, Unnati is able to place these participants into paying jobs with a historical 100% success rate.
