Give2Asia's Due Diligence
Give2Asia offers donors unrivaled Due Diligence capabilities and procedures that take every step possible to ensure that grant funds are used wisely and as intended. With local staff who also speak the local language, Give2Asia identifies groups with excellent management and a demonstrated record of success.
If an organization has not already been approved, Give2Asia conducts a Due Diligence Review to establish the recommended organization’s eligibility. This required process has become both more important and complex, with the increased need for accountability in funding overseas entities. The Due Diligence Review insures that all grantee comply with Executive Order 13224, the USA Patriot Act, the U.S. Treasury Department Voluntary Guidelines on anti-terrorist financing, and prudent and best practices for funding overseas. The Due Diligence Review may include a site visit from staff of Give2Asia or The Asia Foundation. Give2Asia’s Due Diligence process considers five main dimensions of the organization to determine its eligibility: Organizational governance Program management review Budgetary and financial analysis Compliance with anti-terrorism guidelines Local conditions, context and history
Upon successful completion of Give2Asia’s Due Diligence Review, which can take 4-6 weeks, a proposed grantee is added to Give2Asia’s approved list and is able to receive contributions from any Give2Asia donor. There is a one-time $500 fee for Due Diligence Review, payable by the donor, for recommending a new organization.
